May is the month to remember Mary in a special way. This week Senior Infants were busy building our May Altar. We used a blue and white cloth, a bible, a candle and a statue of Mary and the girls very kindly brought in flowers from home. We honour Mary every morning by saying our prayer ‘Hail Mary’ and singing ‘When Creation Was Begun’. We look forward to welcoming Sr. Maria to our class next Friday.
We enjoyed learning about ‘Time’ this week in Maths and really enjoyed sequencing daily and weekly events. Our Aistear theme ‘The Spring Garden’ is a big hit and we were very excited to see our seeds growing and our collage is brightening up the corridor outside our classroom.
