The HSE has asked schools to share this link where you will find information about this year’s nasal ‘flu vaccine for children aged 2-17 years.

This week Rang a 4 have been busy with Christmas Art. Some of our creations include a ‘Winter Scene’, a ‘Snowman Christmas Tree’ decoration and a ‘Christmas window view’.

In Irish we have been learning about ‘An Nollaig’ and in Maths we have been exploring ‘Division’. We are also preparing for our Christmas Zoom with parents which takes place next Friday.

How the time is flying by in the 6th Class classroom. I hope everyone stayed safe during Storm Barra, I know the girls missed school a lot!!

In the past week we have been busy again in all areas. The girls enjoyed their Science class last week when we were learning about Solids, liquids and gases. To link in with this we did an experiment where the girls made their own ice-cream! In this experiment, a solid (ice) changes to a liquid (water) and liquids (cream, milk) change to a solid (ice-cream). The girls had cold hands as salt added to ice dropped the temperature, hence why the girls were asked to bring in gloves. Overall I think the girls enjoyed the experiment, as you can see here…

In Art the girls moved on to the next stage of our 3D Art projects. With a little bit of paint, these structures are starting to look pretty festive. Today the girls will start to decorate them and bring the alive.

Enjoy the build up to Christmas.

Best wishes,

Mrs. Power
