Dear Mams, Dads and families.

Our Christmas Carol Service takes place in the Parish Church on MONDAY AFTERNOON, 19^TH of December and you are all very welcome to attend. The Carol Service will begin at 1.30pm.

The Carol Service will take about 35 minutes and after that the girls will return to school with their teachers, where they can be collected as usual.

Junior and Seniors Infants are to be collected at approximately 2.15pm from the school and the rest of the classes at their usual home times.

We would ask you not to interrupt the girls and their teachers while they are preforming by taking photos or videos. If you do take photos afterwards, we rely on your good sense not to publish photos of anyones child on social media without their parents’ consent.

We apologise for the inconvenience of the later pick-up time from school for the Infants on Monday 19^th but hopefully the enjoyment of the Carol Service will make up for that.

Nasze nabożeństwo kolędowe odbywa się w kościele parafialnym w PONIEDZIAŁEK PO POŁUDNIU 19 grudnia i serdecznie zapraszamy wszystkich. Nabożeństwo kolędowe rozpocznie się o godzinie 13:30.

Nabożeństwo kolędowe potrwa około 35 minut, po czym dziewczęta wrócą do szkoły ze swoimi nauczycielami, skąd można je jak zwykle odebrać. Juniorzy i Seniorzy Niemowlęta mają być odbierane około 14:15, a reszta zajęć w ich zwykłych godzinach domowych.

Prosimy, abyście nie przeszkadzali dziewczętom i ich nauczycielom podczas występów, robiąc zdjęcia lub nagrywając filmy. Jeśli później zrobisz zdjęcia, liczymy na Twój zdrowy rozsądek i nie publikowanie zdjęć niczyich dzieci w mediach społecznościowych bez zgody ich rodziców. Przepraszamy za niedogodności związane z późniejszym odbiorem niemowląt ze szkoły w poniedziałek 19-go, ale mamy nadzieję, że przyjemność z usługi kolędowania to zrekompensuje. Nosso Culto de Conto de Natal acontece na Igreja Paroquial na SEGUNDA-FEIRA À TARDE, 19 DE DEZEMBRO e todos vocês são muito bem-vindos a participar. O Carol Service terá início às 13h30.

O Carol Service levará cerca de 35 minutos e depois disso as meninas retornarão à escola com seus professores, onde poderão ser recolhidas como de costume. Os infantes juniores e seniores serão recolhidos aproximadamente às 14h15 e o resto das turmas nos horários habituais de casa.

Pedimos que não interrompam as meninas e seus professores durante a apresentação, tirando fotos ou gravando vídeos. Se você tirar fotos depois, contamos com seu bom senso para não publicar fotos de filhos de ninguém nas redes sociais sem o consentimento dos pais.

Pedimos desculpas pela inconveniência do horário de retirada mais tarde da escola para os bebês na segunda-feira, 19, mas esperamos que o prazer do Carol Service compense isso. Esperamos todos vocês na segunda-feira, 19 de dezembro.

We all feel the chill this week so be sure to wrap up as Winter has well and truly arrived. We want to keep the colds and coughs at bay as much as possible.

The girls are really impressing me with their Gaeilge. We have been learning about Eadai (clothes) and an Seomra folctha (the bathroom). Thanks to the girls for bringing in cloths and bathroom items, we had really interactive lessons. Ta crios ar an leaba. Ta tuaille ar an urlar. Ta me ag ni mo lamha!

The girls have been all hands-on in Maths class using blocks, dienes, lollipop sticks, and are learning to change units to tens, tens to units, tens into hundreds and hundreds into tens. We also used some tasty pizzas to learn about fractions – halves and quarters. It was a tasty lesson! Great work girls.

In science we are experimenting with Magnets and made a fun fishing game. Take a look at the video of the girls on Seesaw!

Finally the girls have been doing great research on our school tablets. They are finding interesting facts about the Barn Swallow and this will be the bases of our Report Genres.

Mrs. Power

The girls continued their learning about habitats and animals this week with habitat stations.

Each group read about hibernation, wrote sentences about where animals lived, played a game guessing an animal and made collages of animals that live in the same habitat.

The girls are really enjoying this topic and are excited to keep learning about it, next week when we start some projects.

In Junior Infants we have been learning all about houses and homes. We learned about bungalows, apartments and 2 story houses. We looked at all the rooms in the house and used our doll house to put the furniture in the correct room.
In art we made our own shape houses. We used squares, rectangles, and triangles.
