Junior Infants have had a very busy week this week with lots of activities. We had our school tour on Monday, a cake sale on Wednesday, and the 4th class girls even taught us how to make daisy chains!

The girls enjoyed their first school tour to Copper Coast Mini Farm. They played in the playground and the sandpit and then fed some of the animals. A great day was had by all!

Since March, First Class have been busy planting and caring for strawberries and potatoes in our school garden. We’ve been watering them, checking their growth, and keeping them healthy — and now we’re so excited to see our first strawberries ripening and our potato plants getting big and strong!
Alongside our gardening, we’ve also been learning lots in the classroom. We completed fantastic projects on Australia, exploring its animals, culture, and landmarks. We also spent time learning about Irish wildflowers and native Irish birds — spotting some around the school grounds and recognising their names and features.

We have been very busy here in Senior Infants over the last number of weeks! See below for some pictures of what we have been up to – including balance bikes, Irish dancing, exploring shadows, reading our favourite books, planting seeds and more!
