It’s hard to believe that we are getting our Easter holiday’s today. We had a surprise visitor last night ‘The Easter Bunny’. When we came into our classroom this morning the Easter Bunny had left lots of yummy treats in our Easter baskets Yum Yum!
On Wednesday Ms. Bambury, our Department of Education Inspector, came to visit our school. She received a great welcome from Senior Infants. She enjoyed observing our Aistear theme ‘The Library’ and she was so impressed with the girl’s behaviour and the lovely atmosphere in our classroom. Well done girl’s!
Well done to all the girls who took part in the Easter Colouring competitions in school and with the local Ferrybank Development group. We have also been busy speaking lots of Gaeilge for ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ and learning all about ‘An Cháisc’ as gaeilge. We also enjoyed Gymboree with Mrs Hardiman where we showed off our creativity and dance moves.
We have also been reflecting on the true meaning of Easter. In the Church’s celebration of Easter each year we remember The Last Supper, Good Friday and the Resurrection of Jesus. We learned a special prayer for Easter:
Thank you , God, for Jesus,
Is the prayer we say.
Thank you, God, for Jesus,
We pray on Easter Day.
Cáisc shona duit!
