Dear Mams and Dads,
I am happy to invite you to the school next Thursday evening, October 6th for a meeting with your child’s teacher.
We are delighted to be able to hold these meetings again as they have been very worthwhile for us as teachers, and feedback from parents has been very positive. Most importantly there has been a benefit for the children so I would encourage you to come along. The main aims of the meeting are for you:
- to meet your child’s teacher and for the teacher to meet you
- to have a chance to see where your child spends her time learning
- to hear about the subjects that your child will learn this year
- to get some ideas on how you can help and support your child and her teacher
- to ask any general questions you might have
This will be a general information meeting and it is not a one-to-one meeting to discuss your child’s progress. You will be invited back to the school early in the second term for a Parent/Teacher Meeting when you will have the opportunity for an individual discussion about your child.
Tea/coffee will be available on Thursday evening from 6.45p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7p.m. sharp. It is an exciting evening for the school, and we look forward to meeting you. Your Parents Association will also hold it’s first face to face meeting for three years in the GP Room after you meet with the teachers. You will be on your way home again by 8.15p.m.
