Since September, the girls in 4th class have been learning to play chess. With the help of Miss Hall, Ms Hayes and Mrs. Foley, the girls have been developing their understanding and strategic thinking.
To put their learning to the test, 4th class boys from St. Mary’s were invited down for a chess tournament. Three matches were played and great fun was had by all.
Congratulation to Jake and Zoey for topping the matches that day and Joash for being the most respectful player.
Well done to all the girls who got involved and the positive way they engaged in chess all year.
