October and November Catch Up!

The girls in Senior Infants have been very busy over the last couple of weeks!

Firstly, the girls were learning about the dentist and were busy brushing teeth and taking appointments for our Aistear Dentist Surgery.

For Halloween, we made some chocolate covered apples and dressed up in our Halloween costumes!

For science week, we were lucky to have the girls from Miss Power’s 4th class come to do some science experiments with us.

The girls were working hard at their maths stations. They were learning about 2D shapes, and the number 7 by playing some games and going on a shape hunt!

We have also been learning about our 5 senses. We went out to the yard to explore our hearing, sight and touch senses. We explored the outdoor area and wrote/drew some things we could see, hear and touch.

Celebrating European Day of Languages

The girls in Senior Infants really enjoyed celebrating European Day of Languages with a storytelling session of the dual-language book (Portuguese and English) ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?’.

School Tour 2024 – Nore Valley Park

Senior Infants had a wonderful day at Nore Valley park! The girls got to meet the animals, go on the go-carts, make sandcastles in the sand pit, play in the playground, and also looked out for ‘Charlie the crocodile’ on the tractor ride!
A great day was had by all!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all in Senior Infants! The girls really enjoyed taking part in the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in our school this week, including the St. Patrick’s Day parade, an céilí móra, and doing some St. Patrick’s Day art.
