Second Class news
We had our first swimming lesson on Monday last. We will be going swimming every Monday for six weeks.
We painted a November scene this week , using black and white paint. We all came up with different ideas and the pictures look lovely on the wall of the classroom
We learned about germs and viruses this week. We will try to avoid getting a cold!
We revised the themes of all the Green Flags that we have so far. We have been a Green School for 14 years. Each flag takes two years to obtain, and this year we are hoping to get our 7th Green Flag.
Hallowe’en news
We are looking forward to participating in the Talent Show. We are doing gymnastics, singing and saying some poems.
We made Hallowe’en witches out of lollipop sticks and we made bats out of toilet rolls. We did an acrostic of Hallowe’en on a ghost.
We finished our alphabet practice and we are looking forward to more writing in our handwriting books.
Second Class news.
We had our first Mass in preparation for First Confession/Communion last Saturday night. We will have a Mass every month
We put mung beans in a jar. We will let you know what happened! Hopefully we will be eating them in a salad soon.
We finally put up our Hallowe’en decorations in the classroom. We will be making bats next week out of all the toilet rolls we have collected.
Our teacher has the flu!
Poor Ms. Finucane has the ‘flu. She will be back at school next week.
