Mayor’s Visit
This morning, Cllr. Sean Reindhardt, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Area of Waterford, visited our school. He came to present certificates to the girls who had Full Attendance at school last year.
Well done to all the other girls who were presented with Gold Star certificates for missing only one day at school, and Silver Star Certificates for missing no more that 3 days. In total, 45 pupils received certificates.
Well done girls and well done to all the Mums and Dads who are so committed to making sure their girls attend school every day.
Mission Week is Coming!
Our annual Mission Week sales will start at the school on Monday next, October 23rd. For anyone who is new to our school, Mission Week is a very special time for all of us. The girls from Sixth Class to Third Class take a day each and set up stalls in the school hall. They sell cakes, buns, unwanted toys and books to the other children in the school and they run lots of fun competitions as well. All the money raised during the week will be sent directly to a project in the developing world. Last year, our Mission Week funds went to Uganda where Opportunity Knox is supporting children to go to school.
General Information Evening
We look forward to meeting all our Mums and Dads on Thursday evening.
