New Patron
Congratulations to Monsignor Dermot Farrell who has been appointed as the next Bishop of the Diocese of Ossory. As Bishop, Monsignor Farrell will also become Patron of the Catholic schools in the Diocese, including Our Lady of Good Counsel GNS.

This week we are all looking forward to our school Christmas play. On Tuesday, we will visit St. Joseph’s Care Home to perform for the residents there. On Thursday afternoon, we will perform ‘Hey Ewe!’ for our families in the Parish Church. The Parents’ Association has written to the North Pole so we are hoping that we might just have a special visitor sometime this week.

It’s Science Week. Thanks to the Waterford Area Partnership, Sixth Class will visit WIT on Thursday for a workshop. Fourth Class will attend a workshop in Ferrybank Library on Friday morning.
Remember: The staff has In-service Training with the Professional Development Service for Teachers on Wednesday afternoon (15th November) so all the girls will go home at 2p.m.
