Update
The school building and grounds will be inspected tomorrow, Sunday 4th and a decision will be taken on whether or not we can re-open on Monday 5th. You will be contacted by text no later than 6p.m. tomorrow.
Peace Proms Re-scheduled
Due to extreme weather conditions, and out of consideration for the safety of all concerned, we have had to reschedule Kilkenny Peace Proms. Kilkenny Peace Proms will now take place on Sunday 18th.
After investigating every weekend from now until the end of May (i.e. the availability of venue, conductor, soloists, coaches, lorries for equipment transport, photographers, videographers, accommodation, Peace Proms crews including volunteers, lights, sounds and so on), this is the only weekend that is available. We apologise for this huge inconvenience but these are exceptional circumstances. We are depending on your continued support and good-will; and ask you to please do all you can to help us with the smooth transfer to these dates.

Tickets they are valid for the new date.
If you can’t make the new date, refunds are available. Peace Proms will provide those parents registered for our emails, with this information.
The deadline to apply for refunds is 5pm on Friday the 9th March.
Returned tickets will go on sale on Monday 12th March at 10am

Happy World Book Day everyone. This year’s theme is ‘Share a Story’. Why not log on to the World Book Day website and watch these interesting videos of authors and illustrators sharing their their stories?
Snow Days
To comply with direction from the Department of Education, the school will remain closed tomorrow Thursday 1st March and Friday 2nd March.
Check out your Class Blog on the website. Your teachers have been busy uploading great ideas to help you keep up with your school work and have fun at the same time. Well done a Mhúinteoirí.
Tomorrow is World Book Day so maybe you could dress up at home as your favourite character from a book. If it’s okay with Mum and Dad – (remember to ask first!)- you could decorate your bedroom door on the theme of your favourite book. We will postpone out World Book Day celebrations to next week and you will get your Book Token on Monday.

The CBOI has contacted us to say that they plan to go ahead with the Peace Proms Concert on Sunday next. If there is any change we will let you know.
