Summer is Here

As we say farewell to Ms. Ryan, we congratulate Miss Monica Kelly who has been appointed as the school’s next Deputy Principal.
Thank you to everyone in our school community for your wonderful support during the past year. We look forward to seeing all of you again on Monday 3rd September. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine and the break from school.

Here Comes the Sun!

The weather forecast is for very hot, sunny weather over the next few days. As it is the last week of the school year, the girls may wear their school polo shirts and school shorts instead of uniforms for the week. Anyone who does not have a school shorts may wear an appropriate pair of shorts instead.
Remember to put on lots of suncream, wear a hat and bring lots of water to drink so that you can stay safe and enjoy the sunshine.

Welcome to Our School

Today, we had some lovely visitors to our school. The girls who will join us in Junior Infants in September came along to meet their teacher Ms. Fogarty. They were all excited to be here and they had a wonderful time listening to a story, colouring, singing and dancing in their classroom. We are delighted that they are joining our school community and we offer a big Good Counsel welcome to the girls and their families. We look forward to meeting all of you again on September 3rd.

Time to Celebrate

School Funding

The money we receive from the Department of Education and Skills to run the school on a daily basis is called the Capitation Grant. During the recession, it was reduced by €30 per pupil. It has never been restored. Please watch this video about how this impacts on primary schools all over the country.
