Owl Babies

We enjoyed the story Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and created our own Owl babies. We found out that owl babies are called owlets!

We have been learning about owls!

For homework Junior Infants can enjoy sitting down with you and listening to a good story at home. Please take the time to talk about the book – the title, the cover, the author, the illustrator and discuss the story and pictures as you read. Play guessing games – make predictions! – Stop during the story and guess what might happen next/after the story.

Afterwards talk about the story – discuss the parts she liked/disliked. Ask her to retell what happened in the story in her own words. Use language such as – First, next, then, in the end.
