Balance Bikes

For the last few weeks, the girls have been learning to use balance bikes. They had lots of fun doing different challenges and have improved their skills. They are now more confident in gliding, turning and picking up speed. Well done, girls!

March in Junior Infants

March in Junior Infants

This month we celebrated Intercultural Week and Saint Patrick’s Day. 2 girls from 6th Class came to our room and read the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves in Polish during Intercultural week.

For Saint Patrick’s Day we joined the school parade and had fun singing and playing instruments. After the parade we joined the Céilí Mór and had lots of fun. Well done to everyone for putting in such a wonderful effort!

Handa’s Surprise

The girls have been reading the story ‘Handa’s Surprise’. We learned about the different fruits and animals in the story. We tasted lots of the fruits and made a pictogram to show our favourite fruits. We also learned about Africa and created some African collar necklaces and weaved baskets inspired by Handa’s basket. Take a look at some of our work.

World Book Day

The girls had great fun on world book day. They dressed up as characters from their favourite stories. Our buddies in 6th class then read stories to us in the hall. Well done to all the girls!

Science Week

This week is Science Week.
We were lucky to have Miss Power’s 4th class girls teach us some science. We carried out some science experiments with the help of the girls in 4th class.

Take a look at the pictures and maybe ask the girls about the experiments they carried out.

Tallest to shortest

In maths we have been learning about measure. Today we tried our best to line up from tallest to shortest. A great team effort 👏
