Wellbeing/Friendship Week 4th Class

The girls in 4th Class really enjoyed Wellbeing/Friendship Week. Our favourite day was Wednesday when we all got to wear our brightest clothes to school. Today we made friendship bracelets. We learned new skills and really enjoyed this activity.

Girls in 4th class received certificates from Miss O’Reilly for their wonderful poems. The girls took part in a Poetry Competition last week. Well done girls!

Zoom Call with author Alan Nolan

On Thursday 4th class were very excited to have a Zoom call from author Alan Nolan. We had just finished his book ‘SamHannigan’s Woof Week’

We got to ask him lots of questions and he gave us great advice for writing stories. He told us to read, read, read! He encouraged us to read a variety of genres and books by different authors. He hopes to make a special visit to our school when it is safe to do so. We cannot wait to meet Alan Nolan!

The Sunflowers

Today 4th class painted ‘The Sunflowers’ by Van Gogh. We used different shades of yellow and orange to enhance our painting. We were really happy with our paintings. We hope you like them!

Earth Day 2021

4th class took part in a live stream from The National Museum of Ireland and the Rediscovery Centre on Thursday 22 April to celebrate Earth Day. It was great fun and interactive and we got to learn about Ice Age Ireland, fossils and climate change. We really enjoyed this event.

Term 3: Welcome back 4th Class

The sun is shining and The Cherry Blossom tree reminds us of hope and better days ahead.
