First Class Blog
Three Sleeps Til Christmas !!!
It’s hard to believe the first term is over. We want to thank all of the parents and relations who came to watch our Christmas performance ‘Hey Ewe’.
We had a lovely morning today in our ‘Toy Shop’. All of the girls brought in their own toys / games and were as busy as bees teaching their friends how play. I want to thank all of the girls also for doing such a good job cleaning the classroom afterwards.
First Class are going to have a well earned rest and when they come back after the holidays they will demonstrate how independent they are getting by taking down their own homework in their homework journals.
Stay safe in the Christmas Madness !!!
First Class are busy carrying out their ‘Seatbelt Sherriff ‘ duties. So be warned !!! Buckle up !!!
Also, if you need reminding of the ‘Safe Cross Code’ :
Safe place STOP and WAIT, safe place STOP and WAIT
Safe ground LOOK AROUND , LISTEN for a traffic sound
if traffic’s coming LET IT PASS, until the road is CLEAR at LAST
Then WALKING straight across the road,
KEEP WATCHING,
THAT’S THE CODE!
Or alternatively , ask one of first class to sing it for you. :}
November Notice!!
First Class are busy praying for all ‘The Lost Souls’ during the month of November. We are also thinking of all the people on Remembrance Day. 11th of November.
The girls are doing such excellent reading for Homework we have started our second reader. ‘Never Bored With Books’.
We are doing Fairytales in Coiscéim. Next time you look outside our classroom be sure to look at all the beautiful Fairy Doors we are making.
We are learning about Fractions in Maths. Next time you are cutting a cake or an apple tart why not ask your daughter to name the fractions / pieces you have cut.
