10 Humpty Dumpty Time.
We sang our Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme to junior infants and there was plenty of crowd participation. Well done to all !!

I.T Experts.
The children followed the instructions on the board and followed in two searches into Google.
We have been learning about mini beasts and micro habitats in coiscéim so the first option was ‘The Grasshopper and the Ant. The moral of the story is always be prepared. Why not ask your daughter to tell you what the story was about. It’s a famous Aesop Fable.
The second option was 3D Humpty Dumpty. We are preparing it to present to Junior Infants when we come back after the long weekend.

The completion of a lot of projects.
We concluded our ‘Stay Safe’ programme today outside. I would like to thank all of the parents for taking the time to complete all of the worksheets. The children shared their thoughts and what they learned to date using a number of picture cards. There were a number of ‘what if..’ scenarios and the children used ‘thumbs up’ ‘thumbs down’ or ‘don’t know’ responses.

Drumming tomorrow !!
Look at what we learned in our second drumming workshop. We’re all looking forward to see what tomorrow has in store.
Little Drummer Girl !!!

Extra extra !!! Read all about it !!
Busy as Bees !!! Buzz Buzz Buzz.
We are ferociously busy here in rang a haon. The girls have started their second busy book of the year based on their last reader, ‘Sunny Street Friends’.
We started a new writing table today and the first 5 children were chosen based on excellent behaviour and attention in class. The girls later pinned their work to the corkboard on our bookcase.
The girls are learning all about habitats in coiscéim and are enjoying discussing what creatures live in the sand, water, snow, garden, mountains, woods or forest. We have been enjoying a few lively dances around the class room to ‘She’ll be coming round the mountain’.
I want to remind first class that next week is a crazy week with ‘Be Active’. The children are invited to bring hurls and helmets to school on Monday as we are being treated to a full hour of GAA. The girls have permission to wear their tracksuit all of next week.
