Fifth Class Daily Mile

Fifth Class do their Daily Mile (some walk, some jog!) every morning, getting themselves set up for the day’s work!

We love The Arts in Fifth Class!

Fifth Class were very lucky to have a visit from Ms. Whelan last week! They learned about Granuaile, also known as Grace O’Malley, The Pirate Queen, which made the foundations for their History, Art, Music and Drama lessons. Here, the girls are getting stuck into their Art lesson, creating a scene of Granuaile herself on the sea!

Homework!!!!!

I’m not trying to ‘spook’ you 😉 but it’s time to start back doing a little bit of homework!

From today on girls, I kindly ask you all to read one story per night (four days a week) from your Read at Home book, which you all brought home this afternoon. Enjoy reading each piece of text (alone or with your parent(s)), not forgetting to practise your comprehension skills as you read. To ensure you understood the text fully, test yourself by answering the questions at the end of each, orally. I will also check your comprehension the following day.

Of course, this reading is not to substitute the daily reading of your novel that you have on the go at home. If you haven’t got stuck into one recently, be sure to pick one up soon. It’s a great ‘habit’ to get into!

Happy Reading Girls!

Keep Moving!

Well deserved dancing movement breaks for the Fifth Class girls. They have been working so hard all month. Well done girls ;)!

Learning Through Art

Great advice from Fifth Class.
