Puimcín🎃

In maths, we have been learning about lines- horizontal, vertical, perpendicular, parallel, oblique. The class were tasked with the challenge of creating different lines in each section of a pumpkin. Autumn leaves, from our nature walk, were glued to the bottom, so that our pumpkins look like they’re nestled amongst the leaves. What types of lines can you see?

Autumnal Art 🎨

We have been taking inspiration from the beautiful autumn colours, that we see in our landscape at this time of year. Our autumn forest landscapes were painted on horizontal strips of paper.

Camogie Fitness and Fun

The girls in 5th class have been very lucky to be able to take part in a six week camogie training programme, thanks to Mrs Shanahon. Mrs Shanahon organised with generous volunteers, John and Sarah, a weekly camogie training session for the girls. With only two sessions completed, we can already see an improvement in their ability, confidence and team building skills. We already look forward to next Wednesday’s training session.

5th Class Self- Portraits

So far, we have been enjoying settling into our new class and routines. To help Ms Walsh get to know the pupils better, the girls were given the task of drawing a self-portrait of themselves and their interests. The results were creative and unique!
