About Us
What a busy week in our school! We had great fun taking part in the many activities organised by the Active School Committee. The good news is that on Friday afternoon we reached our target and made it all the way to the Czech Republic. The whole school community joined us in the mornings and it was great to see a smile on everyone’s face and everybody having fun and getting fit together.
We went to Ferrybank GAA grounds on Monday afternoon to use the facilities and we had so much fun. Members of Ferrybank soccer and Camogie clubs came to speak to us about taking part and trying out new sports. It was lovely to meet Aoife Slattery who plays for Ireland and she inspired us to get active and try out different sports.
On Thursday 26th April we celebrated the feast day of Our Lady of Good Counsel. We enjoyed the story of the picture of Our Lady of Good Counsel. We say our special prayer every day “Our Lady of Good Counsel pray for us”.
We also enjoyed our new Aistear theme “The Spring Garden”. We enjoyed setting up the garden centre, planting our vegetable garden, writing our shopping lists and learning about how to plant a seed. We also made 3 -D flowers for our spring garden collage. We enjoyed the books from Ferrybank Library especially the book “Grow it! ”
