Our first week back in school seemed to go very quickly.
We welcomed a new girl into our class. Her name is Mais.
We were all glad to be back for our final term, with so much to look forward to: Communion in 5 weeks, a school tour sometime in June (most likely), our Green Schools Day of Action and possibly a few trips to town and a visit to the park.
We got good news on Wednesday: we were awarded our seventh Green Flag. We are all very proud and happy with the news. The Awards Ceremony takes place in Kilkenny on Tuesday, May 22nd.
We saw “dancing raisins”. We put some raisins in a cup with 7up and more in a cup with water. We saw what happened to the raisins when they interacted with the carbon dioxide in the 7up
We went to the library for our fortnightly visit on Thursday, and we went to Mass on Friday morning.
We did lovely fold over painting this morning and will see what faces/shapes we see in the painting on Monday.
We read about where our Mission Week money went in a letter from Harry and Ursula Knox from Opportunity Knox. It makes us appreciate it what we have!
A letter is going home about participating in a choral event in the Theatre Royal on Wednesday next.
It will be very exciting to be part of this performance for such a worthy cause.
